Everybody has an opinion, on everything. I didn’t watch the biggest loser consistently this season, although I did dvr it. I had intentions of watching, but was just too busy.
I did tune in to the finale and saw all the contestants etc. I must admit when I saw the final 3 I thought even in clothes the winner and one of the finalist looked extremely slim to me.
I don’t’ think there’s anything wrong with being thin. Some people being thin, is their natural state. There is a difference, however, to me, in being bony, sick looking, gaunt, or any of the other words I’ve read people are saying and someone who is, Just thin.
Thin or skinny doesn’t mean you are unhealthy; no more than fat means you are unhealthy or have some illness. I shall admit that when she came out I thought, dang she doesn’t look good to me.
When she weighed in, as she was standing there it truly was hard to look at her. I felt bad because I know she was full of joy at being there. I know she worked hard. Hard work is to be commended.
I don’t want to act as if my view is the only view and it is absolute, but she looked like someone who lost a lot of weight too fast, in a not so good way. That doesn’t mean that is what happened. It is just the way she looked to me.
I’m sure over the next few weeks her body will balance itself out. Unless my eyes were deceiving me, I can only imagine how she looks in person, since the TV, they say, adds pounds.
I am all for healthy weight loss. I actually think she did the things she was suppose to do. She ate well, made better choices and she worked out like a beast. She became the athlete, she once was. Maybe the last few weeks to a month she kicked it up a notch or something.
I honestly just think she did what was necessary to win. I’m not saying that’s ok, but if she ate healthy, maybe exercised too much, then I can understand.
I do not like people calling her anorexic. Stop labeling people. Especially people you do not know. People on social media sites really do get on my nerves. The negative judgement.
You can have an opinion, but stop being so ugly towards people.
Think about how she may feel reading or hearing about that stuff. I’m sure she has people in her life, who will tell her or guide her to help If she needs it.
She will probably start to look better in a week or so, when she’s eating more normal and not competing in this contest. I don’t want people to start thinking they need to do whatever it takes to win in the future.
This show has been great for the public. It has gotten many people off their butts to start eating a little better and exercising. It’s TV and things happen quickly, but just remember, it’s TV.
The actor Christian Bale has gone to extremes in his weight just for the role he was playing. Check it out here http://www.peoplestylewatch.com/people/stylewatch/package/article/0,,20768373_20773517,00.html
People say it’s for his craft. People need to lay off people unless they know the real deal. I’ve gained weight and lost weight and it wasn’t for any craft. Unless it’s Kraft American cheese. LOL!
I gained weight because I stopped moving as much and I ate too much bad food, too often, for too long of a period of time. I lost weight because I made healthy choices consistently. Hopefully, she will too.
Visually, yes she looks extra thin to me, and I didn’t watch the show, so I didn't get to see her journey. Many people say she was their favorite from the beginning. Which means she was doing something right.
I don’t care about BMI. There are many things that have to be taken into consideration. Body fat means more to me than the BMI.
Do I think she’s unhealthy? I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt. I think she got really focused to win that money. No one had a problem, with how she was looking, until the finale, because they saw her working hard all season long. At the last weigh in people said she looked great.
She’s 5’5 105 lbs, that sounds atrocious when you read it or hear it doesn’t it? And she is only 24. I’m 48 and a year ago I was about 149 and I’m 5’6, I wore a size 6. I’m over 160 and wear size 8-10. I’m not fat at either size. People think I look fabulous, shoot so do I. However I prefer 149 lbs -160 lbs for me.
Some people kept saying to me, you are too thin, not sickly looking, but just so small when I was 149 lbs. I was not, that’s just how they see the world. I was very healthy. We don’t all have to agree, as long as we are not killing ourselves in the process and focused on healthier living.
Sometimes when people can't imagine themselves being that small, they think it's too small or you look thin. Normally when people are telling others they are too thin, I usually disagree, but in this case, I can only go by what I see visually. My immediate reaction, was, wow, she's thin.
It doesn't mean she did anything she shouldn't have. She probably ate healthy food, but you can still lose too much weight. I do wish people would stop bashing her and presuming she has a mental problem or she's anorexic.
I'm wishing her well, and great health. I hope all her dreams come true and she take advantage of the opportunities exposure like this brings.
